Hispanic Heritage Campaign 1998

Problem:
Photos provided by the client were actually video stills at a resolution too low for print. Additionally, many of the photos were black and white.

Solution:
The black and white images were jazzed up by adding color in monotone treatments. Extra photo graininess was also applied to the worst images to soften their harshness.

America Goes Back to School Campaign 1999

Problem:
A booklet had to be designed to appeal to children of a wide range of ages (kindergarten through 12th grade). The specific theme of education helping children "soar" into the future was mandatory.

Solution:
A large image of a child with an airplane was placed on a cloud-like background to convey the idea of "soaring." Additionally, images of children of all races and abilities helped to emphasize the universality of education.
